Dr. Van-Hai Bui, IEEE Senior Member, received his B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Vietnam, in 2013, and his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Incheon National University, South Korea, in 2020. From 2022 to 2023, he served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the State University of New York (SUNY) Maritime College, USA. Since August 2023, he has been serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, USA.

His research interests include energy management systems, applications of machine learning in smart grids, and operation & control of power and energy systems.
